I've been thinking about this lately - are community raffle wins actually worth the time and sometimes money you put into them? I've entered dozens of raffles at different events - farmers market raffles, youth sports raffles, even senior center contests.
Sometimes I wonder if I should just save my money instead of buying raffle tickets. But then I hear about someone winning something amazing like at a music festival contest or a food festival giveaway, and I get tempted again.
What's your experience with community raffle wins? Have you ever won something that made it all worthwhile? Or do you think most of these are just fundraising gimmicks?
