Between work and everything else, I'm feeling pretty stressed lately. I'd love to create some DIY wellness projects cheap that help with relaxation and mental health, but everything I see online seems to require expensive essential oils, fancy equipment, or subscriptions.

I'm looking for simple, hands on projects that actually help with stress relief. Things I can make myself that don't require special skills or lots of money. Maybe something like a meditation corner, homemade stress balls, or even simple aromatherapy without the high price tag.

What DIY wellness projects have you tried that actually made a difference in how you feel? I'm especially interested in projects that are quick to make but provide ongoing benefits. Looking for truly cheap DIY wellness projects here, not just another thing to buy.
I made a meditation corner with just a comfortable cushion, some plants, and a small table for a candle. The plants were propagated from friends' plants so they were free. Having a designated quiet space makes a big difference.

Also, those stress balls from balloons and flour. Just fill a balloon with flour and tie it off. Surprisingly effective and costs pennies.

One of my favorite DIY wellness projects cheap was creating a gratitude journal from a notebook I already had. Just decorated the cover and committed to writing three things each day. Simple but really helped shift my mindset.
I made a simple aromatherapy spray with water and a few drops of essential oils I already had. Lavender for bedtime, citrus for energy. Just spray it in the air or on pillows.

Also, those bath salts from Epsom salt and baking soda. Add some dried herbs from my garden for scent. Way cheaper than store bought bath products and just as relaxing.

One of my best DIY wellness projects cheap was creating a digital detox box. Just a box where everyone puts their phones during dinner or family time. Sounds simple but it really reduces stress and improves connections.
I made a weighted blanket from an old duvet cover and some plastic poly pellets. The pellets were about $20 and the cover I already had. Helps with anxiety and sleep.

Also, those calming playlists curated from free music streaming services. Just search for meditation" or "calm" and save the ones that work for you. Free and always available.

One of my favorite DIY wellness projects cheap was creating a vision board from magazine clippings and a poster board. Focusing on positive images and goals really helps with motivation and reducing stress about the future.
I made a simple exercise station in my garage with just a yoga mat, some resistance bands, and a pull up bar. Total cost was about $50 and I use it almost daily. Eliminates gym membership stress.

Also, those herbal teas from plants in my garden. Mint, chamomile, lemon balm - all easy to grow and dry for tea. Much cheaper than buying tea bags and very calming.

One of my best DIY wellness projects cheap was creating a daily walking route in my neighborhood. Not exactly a project but committing to it and tracking my progress has done wonders for both physical and mental health.
