I'm relatively new to home improvement and looking for some easy DIY projects to build my confidence and skills. What are the best beginner-friendly projects that are hard to mess up but still make a noticeable difference?
I've got basic tools - hammer, screwdrivers, drill, level, tape measure - but I'm not ready for anything too complicated. I'm thinking about things like painting a room, installing shelving, replacing light fixtures, or maybe building a simple bench.
What were your first successful DIY projects? And what mistakes did you make that I should avoid? I'm especially interested in cost-effective home improvements that are forgiving for beginners. Projects where if I make a small mistake, it's not a disaster and can be fixed relatively easily.
