We're not planning to sell anytime soon, but I like the idea of increasing our home's value through smart improvements. What home value improvement DIY projects have you done that you think actually added meaningful value to your property?

I'm not talking about massive renovations, but rather the smaller, strategic improvements that make a house more desirable. Things that might not cost a ton but could potentially increase what a buyer would be willing to pay.

I'm especially interested in budget home renovations that have a good return on investment. What affordable home upgrades do appraisers and real estate agents say make the biggest difference? And are there any improvements that people think add value but actually don't? Looking for practical advice from those who've been through the process.
