I'm at a point where I've built some decent muscle but I'm carrying more body fat than I'd like. I want to cut down without losing the muscle I've worked hard for. I know I need an effective cardio routine, but I'm not sure what type or how much.
I've heard everything from steady state to HIIT to fasted cardio. Some people say too much cardio kills gains, others say it's essential for fat loss. I'm looking for something that's actually going to help with fat loss while preserving my muscle mass.
What effective cardio routine have you found works best for this specific goal? How often should I be doing it, and for how long? I'm currently lifting 4 days a week and following a results-driven fitness routine for strength.
