I'm having serious phone notification issues with my iPhone 14 Pro. I keep missing important messages from WhatsApp, emails, and calendar reminders. The notifications either come hours late or not at all. I've checked all the notification settings, made sure Do Not Disturb is off, and even reinstalled the problematic apps. Background app refresh is enabled, and I'm not using any battery saving modes. My wife has the exact same phone and settings and gets all her notifications fine. Has anyone else experienced these kind of phone notification issues? Could this be an iOS bug or something wrong with my specific device?
Phone notification issues on iPhones can be really frustrating. Check your Focus modes - sometimes they're enabled without realizing it. Also, make sure notifications are set to Immediate Delivery" for important apps rather than "Scheduled Summary". Go to Settings > Notifications > each app and check all the settings. Sometimes after updates, notification permissions get reset.
I've seen phone notification issues where the phone's notification database gets corrupted. Try backing up your phone and doing a full restore through iTunes/Finder. This often fixes weird notification problems. Also, check if you have any VPN or firewall apps that might be blocking notification servers. Some security apps can interfere with push notifications.
Make sure your date and time are set to automatic. If your phone's clock is off, it can mess with notification delivery. Also, check your iCloud settings - sometimes notifications get stuck in iCloud sync. Try signing out of iCloud and back in (make sure you have a backup first). Phone notification issues can sometimes be related to iCloud problems.
Check if the problem happens on both WiFi and cellular data. If it's just one, it could be network-related phone notification issues. Also, try creating a new Apple ID on your phone temporarily to see if notifications work with a different account. If they do, it's something with your main Apple ID settings.
