So I dropped my phone yesterday and now I have a lovely spiderweb crack across the screen. It still works but the touch response is a bit wonky in some areas.

I'm trying to decide whether to get it repaired or just buy a new phone. The repair quotes I'm getting are around $200, which seems steep for a phone that's already 18 months old.

What are your experiences with phone screen issues? Are the repairs usually reliable or do they tend to have problems later? Also, any recommendations for good repair shops or should I attempt a DIY repair?

I've heard some horror stories about cheap replacement screens that don't work properly, so I'm a bit hesitant.
