I've been trying to optimize my mornings for better work performance, but I keep falling back into checking emails and social media first thing.

What morning habits for work have you found that genuinely help you start the day with better focus and actually get more done? I'm especially interested in habits that don't require waking up at 5am or doing a 2 hour routine.

For context, I work from home most days and my biggest struggle is transitioning from "home mode" to "work mode" without the commute.
For morning habits for work, I've found that creating a clear transition ritual is key, especially when working from home. Mine is super simple: after I wake up, I make coffee, then sit in the same chair with the same mug for 15 minutes before opening my laptop.

During those 15 minutes, I don't look at my phone. I just drink coffee and either look out the window or read a physical book (not work related). This creates a buffer between sleep mode and work mode.
