We've all heard wild fan theories that are fun but clearly just speculation. But some theories actually have real evidence backing them up - foreshadowing the creators planted, continuity errors that aren't actually errors, or details that connect in ways that seem intentional.

What are the most convincing fan theories you've encountered? I'm talking about theories where if you look at all the evidence, it's hard to believe the creators didn't plan it that way. Theories that might as well be true because they fit so perfectly with everything we know.
For most convincing fan theories based on actual evidence, the Tyler Durden is a ghost" theory for Fight Club has some solid points. Other characters never directly interact with Tyler unless the narrator is present, and there are scenes where Tyler should be visible but isn't.

Also, the theory that in The Dark Knight, the Joker isn't actually trying to create chaos, but is testing Batman's morality to prove that anyone can be corrupted. His entire plan is an elaborate experiment, and Batman "passing" the test by not killing him is what drives the Joker mad at the end.
The most convincing fan theories for me are the ones with actual textual evidence. Like the theory that in Harry Potter, Dumbledore knew Harry would have to die from the beginning and was preparing him for it. The clues are all there in his conversations and the items he left Harry.

Also, the theory that in Lost, the island isn't actually a physical place but is some kind of purgatory or afterlife where people work through their issues before moving on. It explains the weird time travel, the miracles, and why everyone has such tragic backstories.
The most convincing fan theories based on evidence have to include the Bran is the Night King" theory from Game of Thrones. The evidence is all there in the show - Bran's time travel abilities, the Night King's connection to the Three-Eyed Raven, the fact that the Night King seems to know things he shouldn't.

Also, the theory that in The Matrix, Neo was never actually freed from the Matrix. The "real world" is just another layer of simulation, and Morpheus is part of the system testing a new approach to control. It explains why Neo can still use powers outside the Matrix.
For most convincing fan theories, the Alien engineers" theory has a lot of evidence across the movies. The Space Jockey in the first film, the Engineers in Prometheus, the black goo - it all points to the Xenomorphs being created, not evolved.

Also, the theory that in The Shining, Jack Torrance was always abusive and the hotel just amplified what was already there. The evidence is in how he treats his family before they even arrive at the hotel, and how he blames them for his problems rather than taking responsibility.
The most convincing fan theories are the ones where the evidence is so strong it feels intentional. Like the Pixar Theory - the connections between movies are too specific to be coincidences. The same pizza company appears in multiple films, characters from one movie show up as background in another, and the timeline fits together perfectly.

Also, the theory that in Breaking Bad, Walter White didn't actually have cancer remission - he was taking experimental drugs that temporarily suppressed it, and it was going to come back worse. That's why he was so desperate to make money quickly for his family.
The most convincing fan theories based on evidence have to include the James Bond is a codename" theory. The different actors, time periods, and character details that don't match up across films make more sense if 007 is a title passed between agents. Even the reboot with Daniel Craig could be seen as the origin story of the first "James Bond" agent.

Also, the theory that in Star Wars, the Force isn't mystical but is a quantum field that certain beings can manipulate through focused consciousness. Midichlorians aren't what create Force sensitivity, but are attracted to it like iron filings to a magnet.
