I'm looking for mobile games with endless gameplay that don't have those annoying energy systems or time limits. You know, the kind of games you can just pick up and play all day if you want to. I've been playing a lot of games lately that feel like they're designed to make you wait or pay to keep playing, and I'm tired of it.

What are your favorite mobile games with endless gameplay? I'm talking about games where you can just keep going without hitting a wall. I've tried some runner games and puzzle games, but I want something with more depth. Games that have that endless progression feeling where you're always working toward something but never really "finish" the game.

Any recommendations for mobile games with no time limits that actually have good gameplay?
Oh man, I feel you on the energy systems. They ruin so many potentially good games. For mobile games with endless gameplay, I've been really into Vampire Survivors lately. It's one of those games with no time limits where you can just keep playing as long as you survive. The runs can go on forever if you're good enough, and there's always new builds to try.

Another one I play during my long commutes is Stardew Valley. It's not endless in the traditional sense, but there's so much content and no real time pressure. You can play all day just farming, mining, fishing, whatever you want. It's one of those mobile games you can play all day without hitting walls.
If you're looking for mobile games with endless gameplay that have more depth, you should check out Terraria or Minecraft. Both have mobile versions and offer essentially infinite gameplay through exploration and building. They're the definition of sandbox gameplay where you set your own goals.

For something different, Slay the Spire has incredible replayability. Each run is different due to the card combinations and path choices. It's not endless in the traditional sense since runs end, but you can play it forever trying new strategies. The mobile port is excellent too.
I'll second Slay the Spire for mobile games with endless progression. The ascension system adds difficulty levels that keep the game challenging forever. Each character plays completely differently too, so there's tons of variety.

For more action-oriented endless gameplay, Dead Cells is fantastic on mobile. It's a roguelike with procedural generation, so each run is unique. The combat is tight and there's always new weapons and abilities to unlock. It's one of those games that keeps you engaged run after run.

Also, don't sleep on Downwell. It's simple but has that just one more run" feeling. The gameplay is pure and there's no filler or energy systems.
If you want something more relaxing with endless gameplay, Mini Metro and Mini Motorways are great. They're puzzle strategy games where you design transportation networks. Each game is different because the cities are randomly generated, and you can play for as long as you want trying to optimize your systems.

Polytopia is another good one for mobile games with no time limits. It's a civilization-lite game where you can take as long as you want on your turns. The AI matches are quick but you can also play multiplayer at your own pace.

For pure endless arcade gameplay, Threes is still one of my favorites. Simple puzzle game that you can play forever trying to beat your high score.
Great suggestions so far. I'd add Hades to the list now that it's on mobile (Netflix games). It has that perfect loop of run-based gameplay with persistent progression. The story unfolds over multiple runs, and the combat is so satisfying that you want to keep playing.

For something completely different, Old School RuneScape is basically infinite. It's an MMORPG with thousands of hours of content. There's always another skill to train or quest to complete. It's one of the few mobile games with truly endless progression.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon is a free roguelike that's been updated for years. The procedural generation ensures no two runs are the same, and there are multiple character classes to master.
Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! I've tried a few of these but there are some new ones here I haven't checked out. Vampire Survivors looks interesting - I've heard a lot about it but haven't tried the mobile version yet.

Old School RuneScape is a good call. I played it years ago on PC but didn't realize the mobile version was so robust. That's exactly the kind of mobile games with endless gameplay I'm looking for - something with depth and longevity.

The roguelike suggestions are great too. I love how those games are designed for infinite replayability. Each run feels fresh even though you're playing the same basic game.
