I teach high school science and I'm trying to find good resources for science homework assistance. My students often get stuck on chemistry problems and physics homework, especially when it comes to problem solving and understanding concepts.

I've tried a few homework help websites, but many seem to focus more on math than science. I'm looking for platforms that offer subject-specific tutoring for STEM subjects, particularly chemistry and physics.

Has anyone found good science homework help resources that provide step-by-step explanations? Also, are there any homework help communities or forums where students can ask specific questions about science problems?
For science homework assistance, I've found that PhET Interactive Simulations from University of Colorado Boulder are amazing for physics concepts. They're free and help students visualize what's happening in physics problems.

For chemistry, the American Chemical Society has some good resources, and there are several YouTube channels that offer excellent explanations. The key with science is finding resources that help with both the mathematical aspects and the conceptual understanding.

Some homework help websites have dedicated science sections, but the quality varies. I'd recommend looking for sites that specialize in STEM subjects rather than general homework help platforms.
I'm taking physics and chemistry right now, and I've struggled to find good science homework help. A lot of the popular homework help websites seem to focus more on math. For physics problems, I've used Physics Forums which has an active community where you can ask specific questions.

The challenge with science homework assistance is that it often requires understanding both concepts and calculations. Some platforms are good at one but not the other. I've found that video explanations work better for me than text-based solutions for science concepts.

Are there any tutoring apps for students that specialize in science? Most of the ones I've seen are either general or math-focused.
In my reviews of educational support services, I've found that science subjects often get less attention than math on general homework help websites. However, there are specialized resources available.

For chemistry homework help, sites like ChemCollective and Molecular Workbench offer interactive simulations and problems. For physics, the Flipping Physics YouTube channel provides excellent video explanations of common problems.

The issue with science homework assistance is that it often requires more context than math problems. A good resource needs to explain not just how to solve a problem, but why certain approaches work and what the underlying principles are.
On the peer tutoring platforms I use, science questions are actually quite common. What I've noticed is that science problems often benefit from collaborative problem solving because there are frequently multiple ways to approach them.

For chemistry homework assistance, having a platform where students can share different problem-solving strategies can be really valuable. Sometimes seeing how someone else worked through a stoichiometry problem or a kinetics question can make it click.

I think homework help communities are particularly good for science because they allow for discussion of concepts, not just calculation methods. Understanding the 'why' behind scientific principles is just as important as knowing how to solve specific problems.
