Having gone through a difficult breakup before my current relationship, I know how challenging it can be to heal and move forward. I'm looking for breakup advice that's actually helpful rather than just clichés.
Some breakup advice that helped me: allowing yourself to grieve the relationship without judgment, limiting contact with your ex (at least initially), and focusing on rebuilding your own life rather than just waiting to feel better. Therapy can also be really helpful for processing everything.
What breakup advice have you found most helpful? I'm especially interested in advice for dealing with the practical aspects of breakup (shared friends, social media, etc.) as well as the emotional healing.
