I'm considering going all-in on voice controlled home systems but I'm worried about reliability. How well does voice control actually work for daily life automation? Do you find yourself still using apps or physical controls, or has voice become your primary interface?
Voice controlled home automation is about 90% reliable in my experience. It works great for simple commands and routines. Where it sometimes fails is with more complex requests or in noisy environments. I still use apps for precise control, but voice is my primary interface for daily life automation tasks.
The reliability has improved dramatically in the last couple years. My voice controlled home system understands me even when I'm across the room or speaking casually. For guests or family members with different voices, it's less reliable though. That's one area where traditional controls still have an advantage.
