We all have budgets, but sometimes spending more upfront saves money and frustration later. I'm curious about everyone's experiences with tech gear worth splurging on.

For me, a high quality mechanical keyboard was a game changer for my typing speed and comfort during long work sessions. The initial cost seemed high, but considering how many hours I spend typing, it's been one of my best purchases.

What other premium tech items have you found to be worth the extra investment? I'm talking about things where the premium version actually delivers significantly better performance, durability, or experience compared to budget options.
A high quality power supply for my PC. It's not glamorous, but a good PSU protects all your other components and can last through multiple builds. Cheap ones can fail and take other parts with them. Definitely tech gear worth splurging on for the peace of mind alone.

Also, a good office chair. I know it's not traditional tech, but if you work at a computer all day, a $1000 chair that lasts 10 years is better than a $300 chair that needs replacing every 2 years and hurts your back.
For audio, I'd say studio monitors or high quality headphones are tech gear worth splurging on if you work with audio regularly. The difference between consumer grade and professional grade is night and day for critical listening.

Also, a NAS (Network Attached Storage) for home use. The initial cost seems high, but having centralized, redundant storage for all your devices pays off in organization and data security. No more wondering which device has which file, and if a drive fails, you don't lose everything.
I agree with the office chair comment. I'd add a good monitor arm to that list. Being able to easily adjust height, tilt, and rotation reduces neck and eye strain. The cheap ones wobble and don't hold position well.

For gaming specifically, a high refresh rate monitor is tech gear worth splurging on if you play fast paced games. The smoothness is immediately noticeable and once you experience 144Hz or higher, it's hard to go back to 60Hz.
