Cloud automation is supposed to make everything easier, but I've encountered some pretty interesting cloud automation surprises over the years. Sometimes automation that works perfectly in testing behaves completely differently at scale in production.
The cloud computing efficiency gains from automation are real, but the learning curve can be steep. I'm particularly interested in cloud automation surprises related to security or cost management - things that automated processes do that you didn't anticipate.
What unexpected behaviors or outcomes have you experienced with cloud automation? Any particularly memorable cloud automation surprises?
