There's nothing better than those video game pleasant surprises where a game you weren't sure about turns out to be incredible. I've had a few of those recently that I wanted to share.
"Garden of Memories" is one that comes to mind - it's a gardening sim mixed with memory exploration mechanics. Sounds weird, right? But the way it handles themes of grief and growth through literal plant cultivation is surprisingly profound. It's one of those video game pleasant surprises that stays with you long after you finish playing.
What video game pleasant surprises have you experienced lately? I love hearing about games that unexpectedly touched people.
