I'm always hunting for those unexpectedly great games that don't get the hype they deserve. You know, the ones that make you go "how have I never heard of this before?"
My current favorite is "Paper Trails" - it's a narrative-driven puzzle game where you're literally folding and unfolding paper worlds. The creativity is off the charts and it's one of those games better than expected in every way. I thought it would be a cute gimmick but it's actually a deeply satisfying puzzle experience.
What are your favorite unexpectedly great games? The ones that came out of nowhere and just wowed you?
