I feel like I'm constantly battling clutter and disorganization. What DIY organization hacks have actually worked long-term for you?

I'm particularly interested in crafts using household supplies to create storage solutions. You know, those clever DIY projects with what you have that turn random items into functional organizers.

What household supplies work best for organization projects? And what simple home improvements have you made to your storage areas that made a big difference?
The most effective DIY organization hack I've found is using tension rods to create dividers in drawers. You can cut them to size and they create perfect compartments for everything from socks to kitchen utensils. No tools required!

Another long-term solution was installing pegboard in my craft room. I outlined each tool with a marker so I always know where it goes. It looks organized and makes finding things so much easier.

For crafts using household supplies, I made drawer organizers from cereal boxes. Just cut them to size and cover with contact paper. They're free and work just as well as store-bought ones.
Using clear shoe organizers on the back of doors has been a game changer for me. They're perfect for cleaning supplies, craft materials, even pantry items. Being able to see everything at once prevents things from getting lost in the back of cabinets.

Another great DIY organization hack is using magazine holders for pan lids. They keep them upright and easy to grab. Much better than stacking them where they always fall over.

For household supplies that work best, I love using glass jars with labels. They make everything look uniform and you can see exactly what you have. I use them for everything from spices to craft supplies.
Installing hooks inside cabinet doors has been the most effective for me. I hang measuring cups, pot lids, even cutting boards. It frees up so much space inside the cabinets and makes everything accessible.

Another simple home improvement was adding shelf risers in my pantry. I used cans or small boxes to create different levels so I can see everything at once. No more digging through piles of food.

For DIY projects with what you have, try using ice cube trays to organize small items in drawers. They're perfect for jewelry, buttons, screws, or any other tiny things that always get mixed up.
Using a pegboard for tool organization in the garage has worked long-term for me. You can outline each tool with a marker so you always know where it goes. It looks organized and makes finding tools so much easier.

Another effective hack is using binder clips to label shelves. Just write on a piece of paper, clip it to the shelf edge, and you can easily see what goes where. Super helpful in pantries and closets.

For household supplies, I find that clear containers work best because you can see what's inside. Even just using clear plastic bins instead of opaque ones makes a huge difference in maintaining organization.
Creating a landing zone" by the door with hooks and baskets has been the most effective for keeping clutter under control. Everyone has a designated spot for keys, bags, and mail so things don't end up scattered everywhere.

Another great DIY organization hack is using tension rods under the sink to hang spray bottles. It keeps them off the bottom where they tend to leak and makes them easy to reach.

For crafts using household supplies, I made a charging station from a cardboard box covered in fabric. It has compartments for each device and holes for cords. It keeps all our electronics organized in one place.
