I'm working on improving my design case studies portfolio and I'm looking for advice. I see some designers create these amazing, detailed case studies that really showcase their process, while others just have a few images with brief descriptions.

What makes a design case study compelling? How much detail should I include about my process? Should I focus on the problem-solving aspect or the visual design outcomes? Looking for tips on creating design case studies that actually get noticed.
Compelling design case studies portfolio entries need to show your problem-solving skills. Start with the business or user problem, show your research and exploration, then present your solution and the impact it had. This approach to design work presentation demonstrates strategic thinking.
I look for design process documentation in case studies. Show me your sketches, wireframes, prototypes - the messy middle part. This is crucial for showcasing design work effectively because it reveals how you think, not just what you can make look pretty.
Use portfolio storytelling techniques in your case studies. Each project should have a narrative arc: challenge, journey, resolution. This makes your design project presentation much more engaging and memorable than just showing final deliverables.
Make sure your case studies work well in a responsive design portfolio. Complex layouts with lots of images and text need special attention for mobile. Also, consider portfolio optimization - large case study pages can load slowly if you're not careful with image compression.
