For focus techniques for students, I use website blockers on my computer and phone during study sessions. Freedom and Cold Turkey work well. Another focus technique for students that helps me is the Pomodoro method - 25 minutes of focused work followed by a 5 minute break. Knowing I only have to focus for a short time makes it more manageable.
