I manage several small websites for friends, family, and a couple of side projects, and I'm looking for the most cost-effective web hosting solution. Right now I have them scattered across different providers, which is becoming a management nightmare.
I'm wondering if there's a way to host multiple small sites on a single account without breaking the bank. Some of these sites get maybe 50 visitors a month, others might get a few hundred. None of them are high-traffic or resource-intensive.
I've looked at reseller hosting, but that seems overkill. Shared hosting with addon domains might work, but I'm concerned about performance if one site gets a traffic spike. VPS seems too expensive for what I need.
What are the most cost-effective web hosting setups for managing multiple low-traffic sites? Is it better to stick with separate cheap accounts or consolidate everything? And how do you handle backups and security when you have multiple sites on one account?
