After years of using Netflix at $15.49/month for standard, I've collected some useful Netflix tips and tricks that might help others:

1. Use secret codes to browse specific genres (like 1365 for action comedies)
2. Create multiple profiles for better recommendations
3. Download content for offline viewing when traveling
4. Adjust playback settings for better quality or data saving
5. Use the "My List" feature to organize your watchlist

One of my favorite streaming hacks is using Netflix's hidden categories to find content you wouldn't normally see. Also, their algorithm gets better the more you use thumbs up/down.

What Netflix tips and tricks have you discovered that improved your streaming experience?
Great Netflix tips and tricks! I'd add:

1. Use keyboard shortcuts if watching on a computer:
- Space bar to pause/play
- F for fullscreen
- M to mute
- Arrow keys for volume and seeking

2. Create a Continue Watching" cleanup day - remove shows you're not actually going to finish so your homepage isn't cluttered.

3. Use Netflix codes to find specific subgenres. For example, 6839 for "Critically-acclaimed Emotional Dramas" or 1365 for "Action Comedies."

4. If you travel internationally, Netflix content changes by country. You might find different shows available abroad.

5. For better recommendations, regularly rate shows you've watched. The algorithm learns your preferences over time.
Some additional Netflix tips and tricks:

1. Download content strategically - great for flights or areas with poor internet. You can have up to 100 downloads active at once.

2. Use the Play Something" feature when you can't decide what to watch. It suggests content based on your viewing history.

3. Create multiple profiles not just for different people, but for different moods or genres. I have separate profiles for "Weeknight Comedies" and "Weekend Movies."

4. Check "New & Popular" regularly to see what's trending and what's coming soon.

5. If you have the Premium plan at $22.99/month, make sure you're actually using the 4K streams. Some devices default to lower quality.

These streaming hacks have really improved my Netflix experience.
As a new Netflix user at $15.49/month for standard, these tips are super helpful! I didn't know about the secret codes - that's a game changer.

Question about profiles: if I create multiple profiles for different moods, does Netflix charge extra for that? Or is it included in the subscription?

Also, any tips for dealing with Netflix's auto-play previews? Sometimes they're so loud and annoying, especially when I'm just browsing.
