I'm constantly struggling with animation export techniques for different delivery requirements. Each platform seems to want something different, and I'm never sure if I'm using the optimal settings.

For web delivery, I usually export as MP4 with H.264, but I'm not sure about the best bitrate settings. For broadcast, the requirements are even more specific. I'd love to hear what animation export techniques others are using successfully.

What animation export techniques do you use for different platforms? Any tips for maintaining quality while keeping file sizes reasonable? How do you handle color space conversions for different outputs?

For web delivery animation export techniques, I use H.264 with a bitrate between 5-10 Mbps for 1080p, depending on the content complexity. For simpler animations with flat colors, I can go lower. For detailed scenes with lots of texture, I go higher.

One animation export technique I've found helpful is creating multiple versions for different use cases. I'll export a high-quality master file, then create optimized versions for web, social media, and presentation purposes from that master.

For broadcast animation export techniques, I follow the specific technical requirements provided by the broadcaster. These usually include specific codecs, bitrates, and sometimes even specific software for encoding.

My animation export techniques include maintaining a library of export presets for different platforms. This saves time and ensures consistency. I also keep a log of what settings I used for each project, in case I need to recreate or modify the export later.

For color space in animation export techniques, I work in a wide gamut color space during production, then convert to the appropriate output color space during export. For web, that's usually sRGB. For broadcast, it might be Rec.709.

The key animation export technique for maintaining quality is to avoid multiple generations of compression. I export from the master file directly to the delivery format, rather than exporting to an intermediate format and then converting again.
