Updated to the latest iOS version last week and now I'm experiencing serious iOS update issues. My iPhone gets hot during normal use, battery life is terrible, and some apps freeze constantly. I've seen others reporting similar iOS update issues online. Tried all the usual fixes - restart, reset settings, even a clean install. Nothing helps. Anyone else dealing with these iOS update issues? How long before Apple usually releases a fix for problems like this?

I'm dealing with the same iOS update issues. My iPhone 13 gets uncomfortably warm during normal use and battery life is maybe 60% of what it was before the update. These iOS update issues seem worse than usual. Apple usually releases a .1 or .2 update within a month to fix major iOS update issues. In the meantime, try turning off background app refresh and location services for non-essential apps.
These iOS update issues are why I always wait before updating. Check if you can downgrade to the previous version. Apple usually signs the previous version for about a week after a new release. If you're still within that window, you might be able to roll back and avoid these iOS update issues. You'll need to use iTunes/Finder and do a restore.
For iOS update issues causing overheating, make sure you're not using the phone while it's charging. The combination of update-related processes and charging can cause serious heat. Also, give it a couple days - sometimes the phone needs to re-index and optimize after an update. If the iOS update issues persist beyond a week, it's probably a bug that needs patching.
