I've been thinking about how my sense of self has changed over the years, and it's really making me reflect on philosophy of self. When I was a teenager, I had a very rigid idea of who I was. Now, I feel much more fluid and changing.
This connects to questions about philosophy of identity. If we're constantly changing, is there some core self that remains? Or are we just a series of connected moments?
I'm also interested in how different life experiences shape our sense of self. Major events like having children, changing careers, experiencing loss these can fundamentally change how we see ourselves.
How have others experienced changes in their sense of self? Do you feel like there's an essential "you" that stays the same, or do you feel like you're constantly becoming someone new?
