I'm really interested in VR games with environmental storytelling, where the world itself tells a story through details, placement of objects, and environmental cues. There's something uniquely immersive about discovering a narrative through exploration rather than having it delivered through dialogue or text.
Games like The Room VR: A Dark Matter and Red Matter do this really well, but I'm sure there are others I'm missing. What VR games have you played that really excel at environmental storytelling?
And do you think this approach to storytelling is particularly well-suited to VR, or does it work equally well in traditional flat-screen games?
