I've been thinking a lot about VR immersion level comparison lately, especially how it varies between different headsets and setups. Like, does a Quest 3 with its higher resolution but compressed video stream create the same sense of presence as a wired PCVR headset with lower resolution but uncompressed visuals?

And what about full body tracking VR systems versus just hand controllers? I've tried both and there's definitely a difference in how "present" I feel in the virtual world.

How do you compare immersion levels across different hardware configurations? Is there a way to objectively measure this, or is it purely subjective?
