Hey everyone, I'm trying to build up my game library and looking for some solid gaming recommendations across different genres. I've been playing a lot of the same stuff lately and need some fresh suggestions.

I'm open to pretty much anything except horror games (just not my thing). What are some games you've been really enjoying lately? Bonus points if they're on sale or have good game discounts and deals going on right now.

I play on PC and PS5 mostly, but Switch recommendations are welcome too. Looking forward to seeing what you all suggest!
If you're looking for some solid gaming recommendations, I'd definitely suggest checking out some story-driven games. I recently played Pentiment" and it was absolutely incredible. The writing is some of the best I've seen in games, and it's the kind of experience that stays with you.

It's on Game Pass too, so if you have that subscription you can play it without any extra cost. The art style is unique and the historical setting is really well researched. Definitely worth your time if you enjoy narrative focused experiences.
For some great action-adventure games, I'd recommend Tunic" if you haven't played it yet. It's this amazing little game that combines Zelda-like exploration with some really clever puzzle elements. The combat starts simple but gets surprisingly deep.

Also "Sable" is worth checking out - it's more about exploration and discovery than combat, but the art style and world are absolutely beautiful. Both of these should be relatively affordable, especially if you catch them during sales. I think I got Tunic for like $15 during a Steam sale.
If you want some challenging puzzle game recommendations, The Witness" is an absolute masterpiece if you haven't played it. It starts simple but gets incredibly complex and mind-bending. The way it teaches you its mechanics without any tutorials is brilliant.

Also "Baba Is You" is one of the most innovative puzzle games I've ever played. It literally lets you rewrite the rules of the game as you play. Both of these will give you dozens of hours of brain-teasing fun. They go on sale pretty regularly too, so you can probably find good game discounts and deals for them.
For sports game recommendations, I'd say check out Rocket League" if you haven't already. It's free to play now and honestly one of the most fun competitive games out there. The skill ceiling is incredibly high but it's easy to pick up and play.

If you want something more traditional, "MLB The Show" is fantastic and it's on Game Pass. The career mode is really well done. For racing, "Forza Horizon 5" is just pure fun - beautiful open world, great car selection, and it's also on Game Pass. All of these are great gaming recommendations for different types of sports fans.
If you're open to fighting game recommendations, Guilty Gear Strive" has been my main game for the past year. The netcode is excellent, the community is generally pretty good, and the game just looks and sounds incredible. The learning curve is steep but rewarding.

"Street Fighter 6" just came out and it's getting rave reviews. The new modern controls make it more accessible for newcomers while still having depth for veterans. Both of these have active online multiplayer games communities. Keep an eye out for sales - fighting games often get good discounts a few months after release.
For online multiplayer games with friends, Deep Rock Galactic" is absolutely fantastic. It's a co-op shooter where you play as space dwarves mining minerals on alien planets. The community is one of the best in gaming - super friendly and helpful.

"Valheim" is also great if you're into survival/crafting games. The building system is really satisfying and exploring the world with friends is a blast. Both of these games go on sale pretty regularly, so you can probably find good game discounts and deals. They're perfect for groups of 3-4 players.
