I'm taking my first flight next month and I'm honestly terrified. Everyone keeps telling me different things about what to expect. Some say it's smooth and easy, others talk about turbulence and delays.

What are your first flight memories like? Were they amazing flight experiences or total disasters? I'm flying economy class on a domestic flight for about 3 hours. Any advice for a nervous newbie? I keep hearing about airline customer service experiences being hit or miss too.
Don't let the horror stories scare you! Most flights are completely uneventful. My first flight memories are actually really positive. I was about 10 years old flying to visit my grandparents.

The thing to remember is that for every bad story, there are thousands of perfectly normal flights. Domestic flight memories for most people are just... boring. You sit there, maybe watch a movie, eat some snacks, and land.

For your first flight, just focus on the basics. Get to the airport early, have your documents ready, and follow the instructions. The flight attendants are there to help if you have questions. Most airline customer service experiences are perfectly fine they just want to get everyone where they're going safely.
My first flight was actually an amazing flight experience! I was flying solo to college and everything went perfectly smooth. The takeoff felt like a roller coaster in the best way possible.

The view from above the clouds is something you'll never forget. It's one of those air travel memories that stays with you. The flight attendants were super nice when they realized it was my first time.

My advice: bring some gum for your ears during takeoff and landing. Download some movies or music to your phone. Wear comfortable clothes. And don't stress about turbulence it's normal and the plane is designed to handle it. You're going to do great!
My first flight was a bit rough but not terrible. It was a red eye flight and I didn't know what to expect. The economy class seat was smaller than I thought, and I was next to someone who snored really loud.

But honestly, it wasn't that bad. The airline food was... interesting. Let's just say my first airline food reviews weren't glowing. But you get used to it.

The best advice I can give: bring your own snacks and an empty water bottle to fill after security. Noise cancelling headphones if you can afford them. And don't be afraid to ask the flight attendants questions they've heard it all before.

Most first flight memories are more about the excitement than anything else. You'll be fine!
My first flight was actually in business class because my parents had miles. I know, not the typical first flight memories! But even in economy, the experience is pretty straightforward.

The key things to expect: some noise during takeoff and landing, possible ear popping (chew gum or swallow), and maybe some bumps from turbulence. The pilot announcements will keep you informed about what's happening.

For a 3 hour domestic flight, you'll probably get a drink service and maybe a small snack. Don't expect gourmet meals in economy class stories usually involve pretty basic food.

Remember that flight attendants are safety professionals first. Their main job is to keep everyone safe, so listen to their instructions. You're going to have a great first flight experience!
