One of the biggest challenges with feedback for filmmakers is that everyone thinks they're a film critic. You show a rough cut to friends or test audiences, and you get notes from people who don't understand film language or production constraints.

Creative workshop feedback sessions can be particularly tricky because you might be getting notes from writers, painters, or musicians who approach storytelling completely differently.

How do you filter feedback for filmmakers when it's coming from people outside the medium? What questions do you ask to make sure you're getting useful creative criticism rather than just personal preferences?
