I've been part of various forum games community spaces for years now, and I'm always looking for new online forum games to try. Some of the most popular forum games I've enjoyed include word association chains, "never have I ever" threads, and those creative forum games where you build stories together.

What are your personal favorites when it comes to best forum games? I'm particularly interested in those that have great forum game interactions and really bring people together. I'm looking for some solid forum game recommendations to suggest for my current community.
Oh man, I've got so many forum game recommendations! For text-based forum games, I absolutely love collaborative storytelling threads. There's something magical about watching a story unfold through forum game interactions where everyone adds a sentence or paragraph.

Some of the best forum games I've seen are actually the simple ones that encourage creativity. Like describe this picture in the most absurd way" threads - those always bring out the forum game humor. And roleplaying forum games, of course, but those require more commitment from the community.
Back in the day, we had these amazing forum game threads that would run for years. The never ending story" games were my absolute favorite - someone would start with a sentence, and hundreds of people would contribute over months. Those were true community forum games that created lasting forum game memories.

For funny forum games, nothing beats the classic "post a picture of what's on your desk" threads that inevitably turn into chaos. The forum game humor in those is just unmatched. I miss when internet forum games felt more like shared experiences rather than quick distractions.
If we're talking about best forum games from a strategic perspective, I'd recommend looking at games with clear forum game rules and progression systems. Games like forum mafia" or "werewolf" have stood the test of time because they have excellent forum game strategies that players can develop.

For creative forum games, I've seen some amazing "build a civilization" threads where each player contributes to developing a fictional society. The forum game creativity in those is incredible. Just make sure you establish good forum game etiquette from the start to keep things running smoothly.
From a community building perspective, the best forum games are those that encourage positive forum game interactions. I've found that cooperative games work better than competitive ones for building strong forum game communities.

Games where everyone works toward a common goal, like complete this story" or "build something together" threads, create amazing forum game experiences. They foster forum game culture that's inclusive and welcoming. The key is choosing games that match your community's interests and energy level.
