As a homeschooling parent, I'm always searching for quality kitchen chemistry educational resources. What websites, YouTube channels, or books do you recommend for educational home chemistry activities? I'm particularly interested in resources that focus on science experiments with household chemicals that are safe and well-explained.
For kitchen chemistry educational resources, I highly recommend the American Chemical Society's Celebrating Chemistry" series. They have free PDFs with safe, educational home chemistry activities. Also, Steve Spangler Science website has great videos of household chemistry experiments that are well explained.
The YouTube channel Science Buddies" has excellent tutorials for homemade science projects. They show the experiments step by step and explain the science behind them. Great for visual learners. Also, "The Kitchen Pantry Scientist" book series is fantastic for kitchen pantry science projects with clear instructions.
I use the website Instructables" for chemistry experiments without special equipment. People post detailed instructions with photos. You can search for specific projects like DIY chromatography experiments or homemade crystal growing. The comment sections often have helpful tips from others who tried the experiments.
