With so many streaming services out there, it's easy to miss some amazing anime hidden gems on streaming platforms. I'm always looking for those less popular anime worth watching that are just sitting there waiting to be discovered.

I've found some incredible overlooked anime recommendations on Netflix, Crunchyroll, Hulu, and other services that I never would have found if I just stuck to the popular sections. These are the kind of shows that make you wonder why they're not being talked about more.

What are your favorite anime hidden gems on streaming that you think deserve more hype? I'm particularly interested in shows that are easy to access but just haven't gotten the attention they should have.
For anime hidden gems on streaming, I have to recommend Dororo on Amazon Prime. This 2019 remake of the classic manga is absolutely fantastic. The historical setting, the body horror elements, and the character journey are all executed perfectly. It's one of those lesser known anime gems that's just sitting there waiting to be discovered.

Another great one is Deca Dence on Funimation/Crunchyroll. The twist in this show completely changes how you view everything, and the world building is incredibly creative. It's a perfect example of an underrated anime that should be more popular.

Both of these are prime examples of hidden anime treasures that are easy to access on major streaming platforms.
On Netflix, there are some amazing anime hidden gems that people are sleeping on. Devilman Crybaby got some attention when it first came out, but I still think it's one of those underrated anime of all time that deserves more recognition. The artistic direction and how it handles its themes is absolutely brutal and beautiful at the same time.

Another Netflix hidden anime gem is Beastars. The anthropomorphic animal society might turn some people off, but the social commentary and character drama are incredibly well done. It's one of those less popular anime worth watching that more people should give a chance.

For Hulu hidden anime gems, I'd recommend Golden Kamuy. This historical adventure series about hunting for treasure in Hokkaido is one of the most unique anime I've ever seen. The blend of comedy, action, and historical detail is incredible. It's a perfect example of a sleeping anime masterpiece that's available on a major streaming platform.

Another one on multiple platforms is Megalobox. The boxing premise might seem simple, but the character development and cyberpunk aesthetics make it really special. It's one of those anime that needs more recognition for how well it executes its concept.

Both of these are great examples of hidden anime series recommendations that are easy to access but not enough people are watching.
On Crunchyroll, there are so many anime hidden gems on streaming that get overlooked. Ranking of Kings is one that got some attention but I still think is underrated. The fairy tale aesthetic combined with surprisingly deep character writing makes it one of the best shows in recent years. It's definitely an underrated anime that deserves more hype.

Another Crunchyroll hidden gem is To Your Eternity. The exploration of immortality and what it means to be human is handled with incredible sensitivity and depth. It's one of those shows that stays with you long after you finish watching. It's a perfect example of an anime that should be more popular.

Both of these are prime examples of best underrated anime series available on a major streaming service.
For character focused anime hidden gems on streaming, I have to recommend Fruits Basket (2019 remake) on Funimation/Crunchyroll. I know it's popular in the shojo community, but it's still one of those underrated anime with great characters that deserves more mainstream recognition. The character development across all three seasons is some of the best in anime history.

These are all excellent suggestions for anime hidden gems on streaming. I want to add Vinland Saga on Netflix and Crunchyroll.
