Full Version: Why does the new endgame zone feel so lonely in this game?

So I just finished the main story and I’m staring at the new endgame zone they added, but I’m weirdly hesitant to jump in. The whole vibe of the place just feels so different from the rest of the game, almost lonely? I guess I’m wondering if anyone else felt that way, or if you just dove right in and it clicked for you.
Yeah I felt that too the new endgame zone has a quiet almost empty vibe and it nudges you to slow down more than the rest of the game does.
Part of me thinks the loneliness is a deliberate cue the area wants you to hear your own footsteps before the next push in the endgame.
I jumped in anyway and mostly ran around loot until it clicked that the mood was different from the rest of the world.
I keep wondering if the heaviness is a design habit for big zones and not a personal test maybe the silence is just there to force patience.
If the zone is asking you to listen for small details rather than chase a big boss the endgame becomes less about conquest and more about noticing.
Take it slow start with a micro goal and see if the mood shifts for you.
