Full Version: How do I stop two launchers from scattering my gaming time and friends lists?

So I’ve been bouncing between Steam and the Epic Games launcher for a while now, mostly based on where my friends are or who has a sale. But I’ve started to wonder if constantly having two separate libraries and friends lists is actually making my gaming time feel more scattered and less fun. Does anyone else feel that tug-of-war, or have you just picked one home for your games and stuck with it?
I feel that tug every time I boot up—two libraries, two friend lists, two different sale moods. It can dull the flow when I’m trying to just dive in.
From a simple mental model: more places to check means more decisions. One library cuts the friction and keeps playtime smoother.
I misread the premise at first and pictured two shelves; then I realized the real issue is where attention lands, and two launchers pull you into two social loops.
Two launchers aren’t the core problem; it’s the notification flood and the commitment to show up in both places.
Reframe: maybe the question isn’t choosing a brand so much as building a ritual; what feels most natural becomes the library anchor.
I flirt with the idea of a single home for the core games, but I still swing back to the second launcher for friends’ events; the tug is real and unsettled.
