Full Version: How do I fix fps drops in the hub city vs open world expansion?

So I’ve been playing the new expansion a ton, and I’m hitting this weird spot where my fps is mostly fine in the open world but absolutely tanks in the main hub city. My buddy with a nearly identical setup doesn’t have the same problem, which has me wondering if it’s something specific to my settings or just one of those things. Has anyone else run into this kind of inconsistent performance?
That sounds rough, seeing fps hold in the open world but tank in the hub city hits you in the rhythm of the game.
From an analytical angle the hub city can have more crowds lights and effects which means more draw calls and AI work which can drag fps down even on similar machines.
I wonder if tiny config quirks are the culprit like shader cache or texture streaming the hub might stumble while the rest stays smooth and you see it as fps loss.
I'm skeptical this is a magic fix maybe you are just misreading the moment the viewport stutters rather than a real drop in fps.
Maybe the hub is designed to feel heavier on purpose a density test not a bug and that shows up as fps wobble.
Some readers notice the cadence of level design the hub sits as a compressing stage where textures and models arrive in bursts which makes you notice fps more than in open world.
Try a clean slate test turn off motion blur disable overlays and compare a hub loop with and without crowds to see if the fps trend follows the same pattern.
