So I’ve been thinking about the idea of a “digital detox” lately. I tried turning off all my non-work notifications for a weekend, and honestly, I felt more restless and out of the loop than refreshed. Has anyone else given this a real shot and felt the same way?
I tried a digital detox last month for a weekend and felt restless too. I found myself craving the small updates from friends more than I expected.
Maybe the issue is less about the alerts and more about a missing structure. A digital detox can work if you replace alerts with a plan to check in at set times.
