Hey folks, I’ve been playing a lot of the new expansion lately and I keep noticing these weird little stutters during what should be smooth gameplay. It’s not a full-on frame drop, more like a quick hitch every few minutes, especially when I’m turning quickly in a crowded area. My hardware isn’t top-tier but it should handle this, and I’m already on medium settings. Has anyone else run into this specific kind of micro-stutter?
ugh this microstutter in crowded zones is driving me nuts too I feel you when that quick hitch hits during a turn I wonder if its something tiny like a texture stream or a memory hiccup more than a real frame drop
from a data minded view microstutter reads as uneven frame times not a true drop keep an eye on frame time logs as you mouse around busy streets see if a spike lines up with a turn that could point to streaming or cpu hiccups
maybe the expansion pushes more NPCs and effects into the scene so the hardware is fine yet you feel microstutter from texture swaps and shadow draws during fast turns in crowds
i am not sure this is pure microstutter maybe its a buffering issue or engine scheduling hiccup try closing background apps and test with a clean boot while keeping medium settings
could be about framing not the problem of the run itself what counts as smooth here do we chase a precise metric or accept small hitchs microstutter may be a sign of a bigger buffering loop
give a quick test a shot like turning on vsync or dialing back shadow quality see if the microstutter eases
