Lately I’ve been waking up with this dull ache in my lower back that just sticks around for the first hour of the day. I’m only in my thirties and my job isn’t physically demanding, so it’s got me wondering if my posture while working from home is totally off. I’ve tried a couple of stretches but nothing seems to make a real difference. Has anyone else dealt with something similar and figured out what actually helps?
I hear you I also wake with a dull lower back ache early in the day and fixing my posture and chair setup helped a bit
From my side the issue was sleep position and hip tightness not only desk posture and a few gentle shifts during work made a difference
I misread the problem at first thought it was just stretching but a tweak in desk height and posture changed things for a while
Maybe the mattress or a restless night is to blame and posture is only part of the picture
What counts as a good morning routine for a desk job might be more than posture it could be a stretch habit a hydrating start and a short walk
Try microbreaks every 20 minutes check your monitor height align your spine think about posture and if it sticks around see a clinician
