I’ve had this weird pressure in my ears for a couple months now, like I’m constantly needing to pop them but I can’t. It’s worse when I swallow, and sometimes my own voice sounds too loud inside my head. I’m just wondering if anyone else has dealt with something similar and what it turned out to be.
That sounds really dry and uncomfortable ear pressure lasting so long. I had a similar thing and it made me feel like my head was full and my own voice seemed loud. Ear pressure can stick around for weeks with allergies or a minor ear blockage.
From a medical point of view ear pressure that worsens with swallowing could be eustachian tube dysfunction or fluid buildup. It helps to note if there is fever or hearing loss and to try gentle swallowing yawning or chewing to move air through the tube.
Are we sure the problem is physical or could it be how we listen to ourselves more clearly when stressed? The framing might push for a fix when maybe a shifting baseline is doing the work.
Part of me wonders if it is just a wax blockage in the ear that never cleared, since that can feel like pressure and louder internal noise.
Could be about how we track symptoms rather than what caused them. If you note when it flares and what helps you swallow or open the ear you might spot patterns beyond the obvious medical causes.
Mine eased after months of worrying when I started managing allergies and I found a calmer routine helped the ear pressure.
If this has lasted months you may want to get checked by a clinician to rule out infections or a real issue with the ear drum even if it is not dramatic.
