So I finally got around to the new season patch last night and played for a few hours. I’m just not feeling the new progression loop they introduced—it feels like a lot more grind for not much payoff. Has anyone else hit this wall, or did I maybe miss something fundamental about the seasonal mechanic?
Yeah I felt that grind with the new seasonal progression, it grinds more than it gives back and I miss a clear moment of payoff, you felt the same?
From a design view the loop might aim for long term engagement, but the payoff needs to feel tangible or the pace will stall
I am not convinced this is real progress, it sounds like a reskinned grind and I am not hooked by the setup
Maybe the season is about trying new builds or aesthetics, not just numeric rewards, if you shift focus the grind can feel different
I started a side run and then got stuck in the same loop, not sure if I missed a hidden path
Have you tried checking guides for build synergies, perhaps the fundamental trick is in the seasonal progression stuff
I keep thinking seasons are meant to feel like chapters and the progression loop should reward curiosity, otherwise it just ends up being a metagame treadmill
