Full Version: Why does my phone shut off at 30% and reboot to 30% when plugged in?

Okay, this is probably a dumb thing to fixate on, but my phone’s battery has started doing this weird thing where it’ll be at like 30% and then just shut off like it’s dead. When I plug it in, it boots right back up showing that same percentage. It’s not an old phone either, which makes the whole battery health thing extra confusing. Has anyone else had their device just decide it’s done for the day way before it actually is?
That sounds odd a phone dying at 30 percent just to reboot and show the same number. Could be a calibration issue more than a real battery loss.
I had something similar after a software update last year and the gauge felt wrong even though the phone seemed fine most of the day.
Happened to me once and I just kept charging and it started acting normal after a reboot.
Sounds like the sensor might be lying about the charge, could it be a gauge fault rather than real battery life?
I had a device where the battery gauge said fine but it dropped fast and replacing the battery fixed it.
What model is it and have you seen similar reports in forums naturally?
