I've been trying to get a console for my brother's birthday and have been following a PS5 restock tracker for weeks. Every time I get an alert, the site either crashes or they're sold out before I can even click. Are these trackers actually reliable, or am I just wasting my time competing with bots?
Short answer trackers can help but they're not reliable because bots flood alerts and stock can vanish in seconds, and sometimes what you get is just noise. citeturn0search3turn0search2turn0news13
Think of trackers as one tool in a broader plan like retailer newsletters, waitlists, and bundles; you still may miss out but it gives you more chances. citeturn0search4
Don't trust every alert; false positives from glitches happen, and 'back in stock' signals often disappear before checkout. citeturn0search2
Have a quick workflow: monitor a couple trackers, refresh the page, ensure payment/shipping is ready so you can act fast. citeturn0search3
Be aware that bots and scalpers are a real factor; many restock stories show how overwhelming the bots can be. citeturn0news13
