I'm trying to build a prototype for a marketplace idea without writing code, and I keep going in circles between two popular platforms. I've spent a week bouncing between bubble vs webflow tutorials, and I'm still not sure which one is better for handling user logins, listings, and simple transactions. Does the learning curve for one pay off more in the long run for something that's more app-like than a brochure site?
Bubble is a solid no-code option for a marketplace prototype since it handles login listings and a basic payments flow built in. Webflow shines for design and marketing pages but you would add tools for authentication and checkout to support real users. So for a fast app style prototype Bubble often wins on depth yet it has a learning curve.
Webflow with extra no-code add ons can work if you are aiming for a polished storefront first and not a heavy app. You would still need a login system and a way to manage listings which means more pieces to juggle.
Skeptical note here I wonder if either platform will save you from learning the basics. Eventually you will hit limits and you may end up coding or hiring to scale.
Tip start with a simple design in Webflow to nail the look then use Bubble to implement the core marketplace logic this gives you both a solid UX and a working flow without heavy code.
Think through must have features like user accounts listings and checkout Then decide which path is easiest to implement each one.
I tried a similar two platform approach for a side project and found the best balance was to start with Bubble for the logic then if you need a marketing site move to Webflow later.
One more thing consider support and community size that matters when you get stuck Do you want to rely on forum threads or official docs
