I've been following the news about the James Webb Space Telescope since it launched, and the stream of JWST discoveries is incredible but also a bit overwhelming. Every week there's a new headline about an ancient galaxy or an exoplanet atmosphere. As an amateur, how do you even begin to contextualize these findings? Is there a good way to tell which announcements are truly groundbreaking versus incremental steps forward in a long research process?
