I've been considering therapy for generalized anxiety, and my doctor recommended looking into cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety. The idea of it makes sense logically, but I'm a bit skeptical about how talking through thoughts can actually change the physical feeling of panic. For those who've tried it, did you find the techniques started to feel automatic over time, or is it something you constantly have to consciously practice?
