I'm a medical student starting my cardiology rotation, and I'm scheduled to observe some transthoracic echocardiography basics next week. I've read the textbook chapter, but I'm nervous about actually recognizing anything on the screen. For those who learned to read these, was it more about memorizing standard views first, or did you start by just looking at a lot of normal scans to get a feel for it?
