I just bought a new hybrid, and I'm tracking my fuel economy out of curiosity. The advertised city vs highway mpg is a huge spread, but my real-world numbers are way lower in the city than the sticker says. My commute is a lot of stop-and-go with traffic lights. Is the EPA city test just unrealistically gentle, or could there be something wrong with how the car is breaking in?
