I need a simple app to keep track of household chores and shopping lists that everyone in my family can update. Any recommendations?
Cozi or Any.do are solid starts for shared chores and shopping lists for families.
Cozi makes sense if you want a simple family calendar plus lists that everyone can edit. If you want more flexible task boards and cross-device syncing, Any.do Family is worth trying too. citeturn0search3turn0search7
Best approach is to pick one backbone app your family actually uses, then layer in extras if needed. Any.do Family Space offers shared boards a calendar and real time updates so chores and groceries don’t get buried in messages. Todoist can host a family project with shared access but it can feel heavier if you just want simple lists. For a lighter route consider pairing a main app with a couple of quick shareable lists or notes from Google Keep or Apple Reminders. The key is to set up two clean spaces: one for chores and one for groceries plus a quick weekly check in to balance what’s been done and what’s coming up. citeturn0search7turn0search6turn0search5
From my side the goal is to keep it simple enough that everyone actually uses it rather than turning the house into a space of half finished plans. Start by picking one backbone app that your family will open without groaning in the morning. Any.do Family Space is a strong option because it gives you shared boards for chores and a real time sync for groceries, so you can add items while someone else is at the store and it shows up instantly on their phone. If you want more structure you can add Todoist with a family project, but be aware it feels like more of a traditional workflow tool and can be overkill for basic chores. If you want something ultra light, you can keep a single shared list in Google Keep or Notes and link it to a central board in Any.do. The real trick is to keep two spaces clear and to establish a regular pace: a quick daily log of what got done and a weekly sweep to move unfinished items into next week. Don’t chase every feature; pick two or three things you actually use and stick with them. The endgame is a calm, predictable rhythm around chores and shopping that doesn’t require constant babysitting. citeturn0search7turn0search6
