I'm a policy advisor for a coastal city government, and we're developing a climate adaptation plan that specifically addresses climate justice for our most vulnerable neighborhoods. These areas face higher flood risks, have less green space, and their residents often lack the resources to relocate or retrofit their homes. We're trying to design interventions that are both effective and equitable, but we're facing political pushback on the cost and scope. For others working on similar municipal plans, how have you successfully integrated climate justice principles into concrete policy, and what strategies have you used to build broad community support and secure funding for projects that prioritize historically marginalized groups?
